Submitting internet publications for Legal Deposit
We have an online
submission tool for publishers who wish to voluntarily submit their internet
publication for Legal Deposit.
You can use the submission tool to deposit publications such as reports, journals, e-books and online versions of printed publications. The tool cannot be used to deposit a website, or part of a website.

Requesting ISBN, ISSN and ISMN
If you are publishing a book, serial, printed music, or other published material; you may want to include a Standards Number. These include ISBN (International Standard Book Numbers), ISSN (International Standard Serial Numbers), and ISMN (International Standard Music Numbers).

Thesauri for cataloguing
We maintain several subject lists to assist indexers and cataloguers. We use the Index New Zealand Thesaurus to describe articles in journals and newspapers. Ngā Ūpoko Tukutuku / Māori Subject Headings and the Iwi-Hapū Names List are for describing Māori content.

The Web Curator Tool is for managing the selective web harvesting process. The tool is designed for use in libraries and other collecting organisations. It supports collection by non-technical users while still allowing complete control of the web harvesting process.
