The History section of the New Zealand Government site includes links to Archives NZ, the National Library collections, Te Ara the online encyclopedia of New Zealand, the Dictionary of New Zealand Biography and many others. Suitable also for secondary level students.
Te Ara is comprehensively arranged in encyclopedia format and can be searched by subject - the categories include the bush, Māori, earth, sea and sky, people, the settled landscape, and places. Contributions can also be made to this site, featuring a blog. New sections are added each year. An excellent resource for Year 7 upwards.
