The Dublin Core Registry
The Dublin Core Registry gives you official information about Dublin Core (DC) metadata terms. Re-using existing metadata terms in your metadata schemes makes your metadata more interoperable with other metadata, and registries like this one make it easier to find existing terms so that you can re-use them.

Te Reo Dublin Core
Te reo Māori terms are included in the registry. The translations have been authorised and fully endorsed by Te Taura Whiri i te Reo Māori – Māori Language Commission. More te reo Māori translations are being added over time.
An update of Version 1.1 of the translated terms is not yet available through the registry, but can be downloaded.

Using the Dublin Core Registry
Browse or search the registry for metadata terms you can re-use in your metadata schemes.
You will find Dublin Core elements, including te reo Māori translations, element refinements, controlled vocabularies, and encoding schemes in the registry. You can also look at usage examples in XML and RDF. More details are in the help section.
The registry can also be accessed directly by machines using the SOAP or REST interfaces. The entries are displayable in RDF/XML, N-triple and N3 formats.
