The National Library hosts specialist cataloguing tools for libraries. The tools can be accessed either through a browser or as PC software.
Te Puna Cataloguing Reports
The New Holdings Report is available to Te Puna Subscriber Services members. The Report can be downloaded from the Te Puna Cataloguing Report website.
Cataloguing Standards
We follow internationally recognised standards in creating our catalogue records. These standards cover MARC formats, descriptive and subject cataloguing, authority control, and classification.

We catalogue material at four different levels, depending on the type of material, and which of our collections it will be part of.
