The wool industry
New Zealand is the world’s second largest producer and exporter of wool. Until the start of the 20th century it was New Zealand’s main export earner and has been reducing in importance since.
This cartoon by Eric Heath depicts the Wool industry in 1969 when many of the woollen mills were merging.
