Cheese manufacturing

New Zealand is a world leader in the dairy industry and this comes from a long and proud agricultural tradition. As early as 1846 the first exports of dairy products began and with the advent of refrigerated shipping our exports increased.

This photograph shows cheese being manufactured in a dairy factory circa 1910.
