Industrious Kiwis
Records and Archives Week is an Archives and Records Association of New Zealand (ARANZ) initiative, which has been celebrating and promoting the value of records, archives and associated professionals in New Zealand since its inception in 2004.
The theme for Records and Archives Week 2010 is archives and records of industry. Our industrial heritage is inherently linked to our cultural identity as a country – from our traditional roots as a farming nation to our present growing influence in the film industry.
It is important that the records of our industrial past are preserved for future generations. In support of this year’s theme the library is showcasing a small selection of items from our unpublished collections that celebrate and reflect this theme of industry.
