The Library’s building redevelopment
The Library building in Wellington is closed for redevelopment, and due to reopen in early 2012. During the relocation period, some collections are available in two temporary locations: Archives New Zealand and a reading room at 77 Thorndon Quay, Wellington.

Access to items in the Turnbull Library Pictures
- Most of the copies of images available in this collection are now available at Library’s reading room at 77 Thorndon Quay, Wellington.
- Most original items will be unavailable through the redevelopment period.
- The White's Aviation, Evening Post, Ans Westra, War History and War Effort print files are available at Archives New Zealand.
- Digitised images will continue to be available during the building redevelopment, and can be ordered from the Timeframes website.

More than 80,000 images are online on Timeframes and many items are described on TAPUHI.
