The collection also contains a wide international range of private presses from the late 19th century to the present day. This includes a complete set of Kelmscott and Doves Press publications, and a representative selection of other influential presses such as Golden Cockerel, Nonesuch, and Gregynog (UK), Grabhorn (USA), Cuala (Eire), and Brandywine and Brindabella (Australia).

Ephemeral items, prospectuses, small broadsides, and invitations produced by a broad range of private presses and book artists are also held in this collection.

Planned changes to collection access

Our collections will be relocated while the Library building in Wellington is being redeveloped. This collection will continue to be available at Archives New Zealand. However there will be a temporary closure while it is packed and moved.

We expect to finalise the dates of the relocation later in 2009. We will give you at least one month's notice of collection access changes and closures.
