The School Library and Learning in the Information Landscape
This publication was developed by the National Library of New Zealand and the Ministry of Education for school principals, boards of trustees, library staff, and classroom teachers. Its purpose is to help New Zealand schools to develop their school libraries to support students’ learning.
It also examines the school library’s role in helping students to develop information literacy and also in school-wide information management.
The final sections of the publication suggest ways that schools can measure their library’s impact on their students’ achievements, and provides a model process that schools can use for library planning and review.
