Bag check
The Library has a no-bags policy. We operate a secure bag check facility where your belongings will be looked after while you use the Library.
Plastic bags are provided so you can take personal material into the collection areas.
Internet access
We provide computers with broadband internet access to help visitors conduct their research.
Visitors can also check email on the computers in the foyer on the ground floor. There is no charge for this.
Free wireless (WiFi) internet access is available at the 77 Thorndon Quay reading room, through FreeNet Aotearoa. FreeNet is a system of sharing unused broadband with others in your neighbourhood, providing open wireless access to everyone.
To connect to FreeNet, click on Start, Settings, Network connections, and the FreeNet connection will show up. You do not need a password.

Photocopying
Photocopiers are available.
Parking
Metered parking is available around the Library's reading room at 77 Thorndon Quay, Wellington. Mobility parking is available and can be booked by contacting us.
Bike stands
Bike stands are located by the main entrance to the closed Library building on Molesworth Street.
