National Library weekday opening hours
The National Library General Collections and Reference Services, the Alexander Turnbull Library collections and the music room and studio are open 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday.
The following collections can be viewed by appointment during these hours:
- Cartographic Collection, Alexander Turnbull Library
- Drawings, Paintings and Prints collection, Alexander Turnbull Library
- Cartoon Archive, Alexander Turnbull Library
- Ephemera Collection, Alexander Turnbull Library
- Photographic Archive, Alexander Turnbull Library
- Dorothy Neal White Collection
- National Children's Collection.

8.30am – 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Late night during term time: Thursday 8.30am – 6pm.
