School Services supports teaching and learning in New Zealand schools by:

  • creating readers
  • developing skilled users of information
  • enhancing information services in all schools
  • connecting young New Zealanders with their culture and heritage.

We do this by:

  • selecting and delivering curriculum resources to schools through the Curriculum Information Service (CIS)
  • providing advice on developing school library and information services through our Advisory Service. We have library advisors in 14 locations around New Zealand
  • creating, and enhancing access to, online resources for New Zealand schools.
